Revamps, re-rates, and re-manufacturing allow
for improved efficiency, extended machine life,
and reduced capital investment.
Re-rates of steam turbines involve modifying
original steam flow path components to match
new operating specifications such as
horsepower, speed and steam condition
changes in responding to your changed
process and operating conditions. Conversions
are engineered design changes of any
component (other than steam flow path) or
system associated with the steam turbine.
Revamping, reapplying or upgrading an
existing turbo or recip compressor to meet
new or changing compression requirements
provides a cost-effective alternative to the
purchase of new equipment; and can be
completed in a shorter time period. They can
also extend equipment life, remove
system/process bottlenecks, and increase
reliability and availability by incorporating the
latest material and design technology.
Revamping also reduces horsepower
requirements, increases capacity and
efficiency, and allows for operation at a new
condition of service.
