 The
Dresser-Rand HHE reciprocating compressor has earned a reputation of
conservative, rugged design with high reliability and flexible operational
capabilities. Our HHE compressors provide gas compression to more than
60,000 psi and are suited to drivers ranging from 200 to 22,500 hp (16,778
kW). HHE frame configurations are available with up to ten crank throws.
The VB, VG, and VL models have a variable crank design with a bearing
between each crank throw so that both odd and even crank throw options are
possible. This reduces cost and parasitic horsepower as balancing
cylinders with connecting rod and crosshead are not required for on odd
throw applications. For
your application, we carefully match HHE compressor components to suit
your specific requirements. Choosing from among our HHE frame sizes and
our many cylinder, valve, distance piece and driver options, we engineer
the best combination of components to provide the most reliable, efficient
compressor for your needs.
 Features
- Rugged cast iron frame with heavily
ribbed cross-members supporting the main bearings
- Pre-stressed frame via precision spacer
bars and tie rods to withstand gas and inertia forces and improve
rigidity
- Forged alloy steel crankshaft, stress
relieved, heat treated, ground and polished with integral flange which
is rigidly bolted to the flywheel and mating motor shaft flange or
coupling
- Connecting rods made of die-forged steel
and rifle-drilled for positive crosshead pin lubrication
- Conventional or flanged crosshead design
with shim-adjustable shoes
- Precision (shimless) main and crankpin
bearings
- Pressurized lubrication system with
stainless steel piping and tubing
- Piston rods made of alloy steel,
induction hardened, rolled threads, and in-house wear coating
capability
 Pistons
with Dresser-Rand DuraWearTM materials for long life
- Packing cups with passages for lube oil,
coolant, vent, and purge are provided as required by the application
and API-618
- Single or double compartment distance
pieces with large gas-tight access covers and external bolting for
easier maintenance
- Hydraulically tensioned joints on all
stud/bolt connections 1-5/8" and larger
- A complete line of lubricated or
non-lubricated cylinders proven in a wide range of applications
- Pulsation dampeners designed with
Dresser-Rand’s digital pulsation analysis program
- Dresser-Rand valves, unloaders and
clearance pockets
