Our AXI units are adaptable to all types of drivers and coupling arrangements for electric motors, steam turbines, gas turbines, or diesel or gas engines. Control panels can be equipped with any degree of electronic instrumentation. In addition, sound-attenuating silencers and enclosures or blanketing are offered to help meet federal and customer noise reduction requirements.

For our Type H AXI packages, we pre-assemble the appropriate drive, oil system, sealing system, auxiliaries, piping, and controls onto one or more bases to save valuable field installation time.

Our Type L AXI packaged units are piped, wired and fitted out prior to shipment for remote, difficult applications where unattended operation is required (i.e., in desert or ocean platform sites). They are ideal for direct drive by standard 2-pole/3550 rpm and 4-pole/1770 rpm motors, resulting in significant cost advantages over the slower-speed, larger-frame motors required by other types. Most units are direct-driven through a flexible coupling, but V-belt or gear drive can also be used if conditions warrant. A separately-mounted control panel provides for remote automatic start and stop, first-out alarm annunciation with local override for testing, and complete checkout and transfer operations.
