packages for generators and compressors world-wide. For power in the
1.5-2.25 MW range, the company proprietary industrial KG2 is utilized. The
KG2 gas turbine is used for base load and standby power generation
application. More than 900 of these robust and reliable units have been
supplied into over 62 countries.
In the power range of 14-43 MW Dresser-Rand has vast experience in
packaging aeroderivative gas turbines from General Electric and Rolls
Royce driving both compressors and generators for the worlds energy
industry.
Where
appropriate, Dresser-Rand power turbines are employed with the General
Electric LM2500/LM2500+. The VECTRA® high-speed power turbine was
developed to match with the LM2500+ gas generator. Together they offer one
of the most efficient power packages available in the 30 MW class.
