Dresser-Rand offers new, refurbished and remanufactured Spiraxial atomizing air
compressors for a variety of market applications.
Mode of
Operation
As a positive displacement compressor, the Spiraxial compressor displaces a specific amount of air with each revolution. Each rotor is a single-screw thread. As the two rotors intermesh, they rotate in opposite
directions. The inlet cavity is positioned so that the advancing helix closes off the pocket of air after it has filled. As the helix advances, the pocket squeezes the air against the discharge end headplate. After the required degree of compression has been reached, the rotor uncovers a
discharge port and compressed air is released into a plenum in the headplate.
New Units/Overhauls/Parts
- New units are available for immediate delivery from our facility and are mechanically and performance tested before shipment.
Overhaul kits are available and include bearings, seals, gaskets, O-rings and hardware.
